Description
Digital platforms are designed to capture attention through fast, reward-based feedback, shaping habits that can begin to resemble behavioral addiction. This webinar explores problematic technology use across social media, gaming, streaming, and online shopping, with a focus on children, adolescents, and families, as well as individuals in recovery.
Participants will gain an understanding of how high-stimulation digital environments impact attention, emotional regulation, sleep, impulse control, and overall well-being. Using neuroscience-informed and trauma-aware approaches, this session offers practical language, assessment tools, and strategies to help caregivers and professionals support healthier technology habits. Emphasis is placed on building realistic boundaries, strengthening connections, and responding in ways that are supportive, developmentally appropriate, and free from shame.
